What is the link between the measurement of jumps and the physical tone of the athlete ?
The concept was initially developed by Carmelo Bosco, notably in his first study « A Simple Method or Measurement of Mechanical Power in Jumping » in 1983.
Bosco is the first to make a link between the measurements in pliometry by jump squats and mechanical power.
Studies have shown that jump squat exercises have results comparable to anaerobic stress tests (of the type: Wingate on bike hometrainer or Margaria test on the stairs).
However, the jump squat tests are easier and much faster to implement.
The main interest of the PEP ITs jumping platform is therefore to save diagnostic time for the athlete and the fitness trainer to devote themselves to their training.
